London along the River Thames

We have not been able to explore London as much as we explored Paris. I was struggling with back pain and Alex was attending his conference. We had a couple of evenings though that we spent walking along south bank of River Thames.

Most of London’s attractions closed at 5pm, right at the time when Alex finished his conference day, so we had limited options for sightseeing places together. Luckily, London Eye was running until 9pm, so we went there. Plus all travel guides recommended it as a must see/do thing. Well, we did it but in our opinion it is overrated and overpriced attraction. You get a 30 minutes ride for 20 pounds (30 pounds if you want to skip most of the line) and you can see and photograph London panorama. There is nothing else to do there, and we were bored. I think that the London skyline is not very picturesque. The only decent view was toward Big Ben. We made some pictures, but they are kind of blah.
