Jurassic Coast

As part of our England road trip experience, we hunted for fossils on Jurassic Coast. Well, we were pretty sure that we would not find anything but we wanted to say that we tried. Unfortunately, our timing for visiting and fossil hunting was off. The right time is during low tides and winter months, when the sea is rough and coast erosion is higher. We got there during the summer and high tide.

Alex managed to find a couple of strange looking stones, and we agreed to tell everyone home that they are fossils. Plus, we bought some real ones at a store on the Charmouth beach. Ironically, the fossils we bought were from Madagascar 🙂 , not Jurassic coast.

The weather was charming, and we visited another couple of Jurassic Coast sites such as Hive Beach, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. They are all very famous nature attractions and were photographed numerous times. The pictures are our contribution to that grand collection.
